The opportunity of a
lifetime that we could not turn down.
When we heard that Shawn Flarida, NRHA
superstar, was coming to Elbert,
Colorado to teach at at riding clinic,
we immediately signed up. We were
so excited we couldn't stand it for
weeks.
Special thanks to Shane Brown for
hosting the clinic at his barn. He
has a beautiful facility with state of
the art footing which was a pleasant
surprise for the participants.
The format for the clinic was 15
horse/rider combinations and over 100
auditors watched for the 2 day clinic.
Class ran from approximately 9 am until
4 pm with short breaks throughout the
day. But Shawn taught both on
horseback and from the ground for two
long days. He was so patient with
everybody, helping every rider to get
the optimum performance out of their
horse in the various maneuvers. He
also provided answered a barrage of
questions and observations. He
offered insight into what he looks for
in a horse, a prospect and in bloodlines
to breed the best reining horse.
He revealed some of his competition
secrets and habits that have made him
the number one reining rider and
competitor in the world.

Shawn Flarida is a fantastic clinician and a gifted
motivational speaker who is charming, humble and ingenious.
Shawn encourages everyone
to get coaching periodically. His own father comes to work
with him once a week. Truly, even Shawn Flarida recognizes
the need to constantly strive for excellence.
