Dusta Gun's sire is THE BIG GUN who is an APHA World Champion and an NRHA Money earner and Futurity Champion.  The Big Gun is sired by Colonels Smokingun (Gunner)< He is a USEF Champion, NRHA Futurity Res. Champion and a World Champion Reining Sire. He is also the highest earning Paint in NRHA history.   There are very few Bay Tobiano offspring of Gunner and Dusta Gun is one of them.

Dusta Gun was bred by famed Bobby Avila and out of his own Quarter Horse mare. Her Dam, MD Dustalena, also has outstanding pedigree and tremendous background. She was AQHYA World Top 10 in Working Cowhorse and has points in cutting and working cowhorse.  Dusty's sister just won the 2007 AQHA World Championship in Team Penning!  She also qualified in Ranch Sorting and previously in Junior Cutting.  Dusty has great bloodlines for lots of events!

Dusta Gun is 2008 Res World Champion Youth Reining with Jason Kvols.  She is now owned by Darrell Dye who trains with Devin Warren of Warren Performance Horses.  Darrel and Dusty have won a Novice Amateur ROM and points in Amateur Reining in one summer!
